What is Microneedling?
Microneedling creates thousands of tiny contact points, using micro needles. This causes the body to create a wound healing process for rejuvenated, smoother and younger looking skin. It also allows your skin to fully absorb the nutrients of skin creams, lotions and serums.
What is Dermaroller?
Dermaroller is a hand-held microneedling device used to create microchannels in the skin. This works to rejuvenate the skin in 2 ways. The first benefit is that any serum applied can penetrate into the skin. The second benefit is that the skin will begin to 'heal' itself after the microneedling treatment, meaning collagen and elastin is produced!
What is Dermapen?
Dermapen is very similar but is a hand-held, electrical device with the needles. This also works to penetrate serums along with the collagen and elasti production within the skin!
How quickly will I see results?
After micro-needling, your body will start to naturally regenerate and repair the skin. The collagen turnover happens every 4-6 weeks, so it can take up to this time to see the full benefits. Although, most clients will see a visible glow after just a few days!
What can I expect at my appointment?
A numbing cream can be applied to the skin to make the procedure comfortable - although most clients do not feel they need it!
The microneedling treatment is performed using specialised serums to maximise results.
SPF is always applied to protect your skin after treatment.
How often will I need the treatment?
We recommend a microneedling treatment every 6-8 weeks for optimum results. Once results are achieved, most clients maintain with one treatment every 3-4 months.
