The go-to evening look and one of the most requested looks at makeovers. The smokey eye is very flattering, bold and easy to achieve. It’s a style which will always look chic and go with every face and outfit, day or night, it’s every girl’s go-to.
But how do you really achieve that perfect look?
There is no right or wrong whilst attempting to achieve this eye look, smudged or sharp, it’ll still look great. … However a few tips and tricks never hurt nobody?…
Instead of starting off with a neutral colour, start bold. Apply a pop of colour to really start off that intense lid. Add a bit of colour on your lower lid to add a bit more smoke to the look. If you have fair hair with blue or green eyes, a bronzed shade is perfect and will make your eye’s pop. Whilst rich coppery shades suit better on darker skin tones.
Pick out a neutral matte shade to add a bit of definition to the lid. Apply this where the crease of your eye lid is. This will soften out the bold colour you’ve applied and make it look smoky.
Blend that eye:
Blending is key in a smoky eye, get a professional brush to blend with, this will smooth out the colours and soften any harsh lines.
Bring the sparkle:
Everyone loves to bring a bit of drama to the lid, especially during the past season. Apply shimmer pigment directly in the centre of the lid to give it that perfect extra touch.
Highlight that bone:
Get your favourite highlighter which is a shade lighter than your skin tone and apply it under your brow bone and inner corner of your eye. This will make your eyes look wider and make everything look not so harsh.
Complete your look with a bang:
Add a bold lip to your look with a dark red or even black if you’re feeling daring. Or if you want to focus on the eyes a nude would be perfect.
