Everybody Loves the Sunshine.
We are convinced summer is just around the corner! The rain WILL stop! We’re talking Sun -Shine… And with it family BBQ’s, a day at the races, dining al fresco, trips to the beach, festivals, picnics, parks… Aaahhh! We just can’t wait!
And to make sure we all look ship shape and bristol fashion our new salon is nearly open!!
In just 5 weeks you will be able to luxuriate in our spacious, purpose built, NEW salon at 16 Old Foundry rd. Not wishing to brag but it’s going to be absolutely fabulous!
Roll on summer!
Wax On Wax Off!
All this outdoors stuff does mean, however, that legs, under arms, and yes, bikini lines are more or less permanently on show. Here at Image we recommend waxing. It might be a slightly painful experience at the time but we believe the results are worth it, especially if you are heading off on holiday. A wax will last much longer and means you wont have to deal with any nasty stubble whilst away.
And even if you are staying home, visiting the salon for a wax needn’t be a nail biting experience, we’ve got a couple of tips to help it all go ….well…smoothly!
- Don’t schedule a wax just before your period. Us ladies are more sensitive during this time in our cycle (don’t we know it!) so try and make sure your wax is booked at least 3 days before you are due.
- Avoid tight clothing, or working out for at least 48hrs after a wax (longer if possible). Fresh (hairless) skin is more susceptible to bacteria and chafing which can cause unsightly and uncomfortable pimples, or even worse, in-grown hairs.
Kimberley Carter Permanent Cosmetics
We are thrilled to announce that our gorgeous Kimberley is to become the Image Salon Permanent Cosmetics Specialist.
What is Permanent Cosmetics?
Permanent cosmetics is a form of cosmetic tattooing using pharmaceutical grade pigments applied to the 2nd, or dermal, layer of the skin.
This type of cosmetic application allows everyone, young or old, male or female, to achieve a soft, natural looking, enhancement to their features.
Kimberley will be offering many treatments in the new salon, including eyebrows, hair stroke or powdered effect, eyelash enhancement, eyeliner, beauty spots, lip liner, lip blush or full lip colour.
Imagine not having to worry about looking good all the time, ’cause you will! On the beach, in the pool, rushing around after the family! Great stuff.
Permanent cosmetics have also been widely used to help people who may have lost their eyebrows or lashes through alopecia or chemotherapy. Or to help people who have sensitive skin or allergies, it can also help those with visual impairments who find it hard to put their makeup on, as well as many others.
Kimberley says,” I want to help people feel good about themselves and build their confidence, I have been passionate about make-up application ever since I was a young teenager and this has driven me to explore the uses of permanent cosmetics. I am so excited about the new salon and my new role within it. I have completed my training with a top academy Nouveau Contour at advanced level. We have the best pigments which are pharmaceutical grade 4, the best you can have and I can’t wait to bring the benefits of permanent cosmetics to our clients.”
We can’t wait either Kimberley!
